Description

Dekasyl MS-1 is a universal elastic sealant and adhesive that cures with air humidity.
Dekasyl MS-1 is used for the production of internal and external elastic seals and can be used in e.g. automotive, bus, train, caravan, general and construction industry. Also suitable as an adhesive for components where no great demands are placed on the joint. Dekasyl MS-1 is based on MS Polymer.

Adhesion

In general, Dekasyl MS-1 adheres well without primer to clean, dry, dust and grease-free substrates of aluminium, stainless steel, galvanized steel, zinc, copper, brass, powder-coated metal, most painted metal surfaces, glass, PVC, polyester (GRP), painted and varnished wood, etc. Not suitable on PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE substrates. It is recommended to clean the substrates with Dekaclean Ultra (an adhesion test before application is recommended). If high adhesion is required in cases of high thermal or physical stress, especially in humid environments, the use of Dekavator is recommended. • Sealing joints around windows, doors, etc.
• Sealing in the wood and metal industry
• Sealing GRP or aluminum profile to painted sheet metal wall
   

Properties

• Free from solvents, isocyanate, silicone and PVC
• Good UV resistance and ageing resistance.
• Generally good adhesion without primer on various substrates
• Permanently elastic in the temperature range from -40°C to +100°C
• Neutral and fast curing
• Suitable for sanitary rooms (fungicide-resistant)
• Compatible with most industrial coating or varnishing systems, both alkyd resin and emulsion paints (due to the large number of different types of industrial paints, a compatibility test is recommended!)
